With current economic trends, legal costs, as with most service fees, are constantly increasing. We seek to charge only that which is necessary for actual work done. This vision is founded on the basis that our clients costs should reflect the service that has been rendered to them. Our fees and fee structure are always discussed at the initial consultation with our clients and are made available at any time, should they be requested. Over and above this, we undertake to ensure that our clients are regularly informed in relation to their accounts and legal fees in relation to their matters, so as to place them in the best position to control their expenditure

We have over the years, developed and maintained professional relationships with various service providers that are pivotal in the assistance in the finalisation of legal matters, for our clients. As such, many of these service providers offer preferential discounts to us, thus enabling us to pass a saving on to our clients. Overall, we pride ourselves on billing our clients competitively.

Fee structures and costs

We offer our client’s a variety of costing options to suit their needs depending on the type of legal assistance required. Some of the structures offered are:

  • Monthly retainers (Usually for clients who have a need for constant legal support and wish to employ a cost saving mechanism to reduce legal fees)
  • Full and Final pre-determined Fees (Usually utilised for fixed term projects that are easily determinable such as contract drafting or vetting)
  • Traditional Hourly Billing (Usually utilised in litigation and in matters where fees are not easily determinable)
  • Pro Bono
  • Contingency

Our initial consultation costs start from as little as R500.00 (Five Hundred Rand) per hour (Excluding VAT) for the first hour. This is geared toward providing cost effective general legal advice and advice on how to take the matter further, whether through legal recourse, or other formal means.

In certain matters our initial consultations are actually free of charge. Contact us to discuss your matter and find out if you qualify for a free consultation.
